The following documents are available to facilitate completion for those BTSA participants who have exceeded the 2 year completion timeline and are now in Extended status.

If you have not completed a Request for Extension, please contact your Local District BTSA Specialist immediately to arrange an appointment to discuss your program status!

Provide a word processed standards-based lesson plan. This may be your CFASST Lesson Plan/Series or another Plan that reflects what you are implementing in your classroom.  Please click here to access guidelines for creating your lesson plan aligned to Standard 16. These guidelines apply ONLY to the standards-based lesson plan option.

You may wish to refer to the Standard 16 Lesson Plan checklist as you prepare your lesson plan.

Attend and successfully complete a Learning Zone BTSA Technology Course

Required documentation Includes:

  • p-form
  • course homework

You may access the Learning Zone at the following URL:

  1. Log in to Learning Zone
  2. Select the tab for “Courses”
  3. Click “View Class Offerings”
  4. Under Program, choose “ALL”
  5. Under Keyword, enter “BTSA”
  6. The available classes will appear.

    Equity and Diversity Evidence of Proficiency

    Session 1 -- Completed at Year 2 Orientation
    • Provide a word processed standards-based lesson plan that reflects what you are implementing in your classroom.  Click Here to access guidelines for creating your lesson plan aligned to Standard 17.
    • Completion of Formative Assessment events so that evidence of growing proficiency in all elements of Standard 17 is present--refer to the elements of the standard as you complete the process to ensure that you have shown evidence related to each element (i.e. how have you examined your beliefs, attitudes, and expectations related to gender and sexual orientation and created a gender-fair, bias free learning environment). Be prepared to share with your portfolio reviewer where the evidence for each element is located.

    You may wish to refer to the Standard 17 Lesson Plan checklist as you prepare your lesson plan.
